Brown and sticky...

Dan Brown's Digital Fortress was handed to me by one of the guys. He reckoned that as it's got computers in it, I might enjoy it.

Um, nope.

This is an unbelieveably piss poor book. The characters are too thin to exist in more than one dimension, the plot is completely ridiculous, full of holes and peppered with the author's childish sideswipes at the liberal left. I was left distraught at the loss of the 4 hours it took to read it.

If I was asked for a novel recommendation in the general Cryptography / Hacking / Tech genre I'd plump for the peerless Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson.
